Rakesh Mehta – Partner is a qualified chartered accountant, having vast experience in India in the areas of Private Equity Investment, Debt Syndication, Fund Management, Taxation and Finance. He also carries vast and extensive experience in the area of International Taxation, Corporate Planning and Business Restructuring. Before joining SMC, he was a practicing Chartered Accountant in India advising clients on Taxation, Project Financing, Corporate Law, Auditing and Statutory Compliance.

Ayaz Ahmed – Partner brings over more than a decade of diverse professional experience in the areas of financial services, Management Consulting and Information Technology. He is a MBA (Finance) having vast experience in India and UAE in the areas of Corporate Finance, Project Financing and Business Process Re-engineering. He has worked with the Principals on assignments relating to ERP Implementations, Portfolio Management, Fund Raising, Business Plan Reviews and Due Diligence reviews across various industries.

Pankaj Gupta - Partner is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and has over 10 years of experience in Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory and Strategic & Merger and Acquisition Advisory. He was previously associated with country’s leading bank in India, wherein he was involved with project and corporate finance to large corporates. His areas of expertise include transaction advisory for fund raising across debt, equity & structured finance products.

Mohammad Talha – Director is an MBA (Banking & Finance) with degree in Law as well as Science having over 30 years of experience in corporate and business advisory. He brings with him a vast experience in Islamic Banking, Corporate & Project Finance, Credit Risk Management, Investment & Merchant Banking, Syndication, Treasury and Micro Finance by working in leading banks and Financial Institutions in India, Middle East and Europe. He has been involved in a number of financing and banking projects and had devised credit policies and procedures for the banks. He was instrumental in setting up Islamic Bank of Britain and other financial Institutions.

Fazal Ibrahim – Senior Consultant (MBA, LLB) having 20 years of Banking Experience in the Middle East. He brings in a wealth of experience in Corporate & Commercial Banking, Solicitation of Assets and Liability business, Debt Restructuring and Legal Advisory Support, Corporate Law and Statutory Compliance. His areas of expertise also include transaction advisory for fund raising across debt, equity & structured finance products.

S. Balasubramanian – Senior Consultant (MBA –Finance) having 25 years of experience in Management Consulting Services. He carries extensive experience in Trade Finance, Project Finance, Business Plan, Feasibility Study & Viability Revivals. His areas of expertise include financial evaluation, risk assessment, creation of base cases. He has deep understanding of businesses and has worked closely with several many large clients and developed customized solutions to meet specific requirements of such companies.

Mohammad Hassan – Senior Consultant  is an MBA (Finance), having more than 15 years of experience in Corporate banking. He also carries vast and extensive experience in the area of Trade Finance, Project Finance, Corporate Planning and Private Equity. His areas of expertise include financial evaluation, risk assessment, creation of base cases & financial models needed for fund raising assignments. He has deep understanding of businesses and has worked closely with several many large clients and developed customized solutions to meet specific requirements of such companies.
